Check Engine = P0720

My check engine light came on today and I immediately bought an OBD II scanner at the local auto store. I plugged the thing in and I got P0720.

In the book its listed as a Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction. Does anybody know what that means or what specifically should be replaced. I thought it may have been the MAF since I'm at 96k and I havent had it done, but now I'm not so sure

Are you sure it's 720? There's no such DTC in the shop manual.

Can that pocket scan be used to determine which ignition coil isn't firing??

According to my Haynes manual that code equals Vehicle speed sensor or Circuit fault...other than that I have no idea what any of that is...hopefully it points you in the right direction.

@fall97 - see if this thread helps you with the P0720 code:
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...lp-please.html
it also includes pics as to where the speed sensor is located and what it looks like in the car

You do realize this is a six year old thread right? I'm guessing if he hasn't solved the problem by now, he never will.
