Does anybody know how to remove the dash clock on a 01 max. I looked everywhere and cant find anything on it.

 

That would definitely require a lot work the whole dash would have to come out I believe before you can take the clock out.

 

It's held in place with a few spring clips. Just pry it up with a wide screw driver and a protective cloth.

Actually you have to remove the engine. You get at the clock through the firewall.

I just took mine out today...... grabbed it with both hands and pulled, came right off.... mine is a 2000 though.

 

 

Whats so funny about that? Do you know an easier way to remove the clock? I thought engine removal was the only way.

What was so funny is that it cannot be removed that way. After the engine has been removed, you left out the part when the firewall needs to be cut off in order to access and drain the clock-fluid resivour before it can be removed.

Oh yeah, I knew I left something out.

 

You forgot about the clock master and slave cylinders... not to mention all the lines and you all know the blinker fluid lines run right above them so they must be cut and then respliced upon reinstallation...
