Heyy I needa get to my brain unit for the new kenwood 25th anniversary indash tv. I recently had it installed by circuit city and they forgot to connect the parking brake wire i cant watch any movies. They had my car for 2 days and didnt connect this im pretty pissed with them but what ever you should do things your self. Anyway how do you go about taking the center console off where the parking brake is in a 01 maxima. i see 2 screws bu te seat belts is that all or are there more. thanks for the help i appreciate it.

take the ash tray out, and there is one screw in there, unscrew that....
and than just pop the thing around the shifter....
it'll come offf....and than you'll see two more screws, when you look straigt down, they're both in front of the shifter....unscrew those two, and there is also one, where the arm rest thingy is, just open it, and take the cloth thingy in there, and u'll see screw in there, just unscrew that also, and pull on the center console and it'll come offf.....
not hard...
good luck

ok... the 2 screws u see take them out
then open up the armrest and theres a screw in there
then you have to pop off the plastic around the shift know
there should be 2 more screws under there
once u remove all of them it will a challenge getting th ewhole thing out so just be careful not to scratch anything else
hope that helps good luck
