245/45/18 tires on a 5th gen?

Probably because he wants to fill up the stock wheel gap.
Recommended tires size is 245/40-18. And the 30mm offset may rub if you hit a hard bump or a large dip. Your wheel will stick out 15mm more than your stock offset plus have an extra 0.5 inches per side in wheel width

The offset might be a problem. I'm lowered 1.6" and I have those on my rear (G35c's) and it does rub over bumps and some dips. But on stock suspension you might not have issues like I do. Try poking around the wheel and tire section maybe it's been brought up before.

i got 245/45/18 on 350z rims and it only rubs when i hit big bumps or when i have to 2 pasengers in the back other than that its ok the back look good but the front tires they are to wide they stick out too much i would recomend 235/40 or 45/18 they would look better for the front

i had 245/45/18 on the 6th gen rims on my 01 max. it rubbed somewhat, especially with 2 people in the back or just 1 fat guy. i was gonna get smaller tires but 1. thats expensive and 2. these ny streets suck for low pro's. so i went back to stock 17's.
