Spark plugs still looked good after approaching 60k miles!
Well, I'm finally reaching 60k miles on my car and I began to do some preventative maintenance. I did most of the work myself, except got the dealer to power flush my tranny (well worth it BTW, because they use a machine to power flush all that grudge out of there). Anyway, coils were still good, changed air filter, installed new plugs, and cleaned throttle body. Upon removing old plugs, they all still looked good (see pics). I'm not sure if they really last 100k miles, but it was well worth changing them, because I can tell the car is much more responsive now that I changed them. (Those rear ones are a PIA!!). After the throttle clean, car now idles kind of high, but I knew this before the attempt (see pics). No CEL (so far), but I can really tell the car has more "umphh" than before. Now, the only thing I can think of doing next is a coolant flush. I'll do that next week. Should there be more?
