I JUST CAME UPON THIS SITE WWW.XENONVALOT.COM . IT SEEMS THEY HAVE D4R BULBS FOR SALE AND THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BETTER THAN OUR D2R...ANYONE TRIED THESE OR KNOW ANYONE THAT HAS? ALSO, THEY HAVE AN ITEM CALLED XENON BOOSTER WHICH IS SAID TO BOOST OUTPUT FROM 35W TO 55W. JUST WONDERING WHAT THE MEMBERS ON THE ORG HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS...IM KINDA INTERESTED IN THESE PRODUCTS IF THEY WOULD INCREASE OUTPUT.

Not sure about the booster but unlike the D2R/S bulbs, D4R/S bulbs draws less power on startup while maintaining brightness. Go to HID planet and do a search on D4R or D4S bulbs and ballast. They don't have a formal writeup yet but they do have a number or threads about this subject.

BTW - Don't type in all caps. All caps = angry.

They will not work with Bosch ballasts. I dunno if they work with Koitio(w/e nissan uses)

Go on ebay and ask the seller of the D4r bulbs on there. He knows.

I would be rocking these bulbs if I could

One important detail.

If you guys do switch to D4R/S bulbs, you will have to get D4 ballasts. D4 and D2 components are NOT interchangeable. The connectors may fit but they will not work or they may short.

Hella D2 ballasts power D4 bulbs
Actually I am pretty sure ONLY Bosch ballasts can't power D4 bulbs.
