e-brake "problem"?

Hi all, my 2k se has about 80k on it and I recently noticed that the e-brake is very weak, at least I think it is. I was pulling into my garage, and was rolling a little, pulled the ebrake and the car still rolled for another ft or two, you could tell the ebrake was rubbing, aka on, but not strong. So I tried to see later in a parking lot if it would lock up the wheels at all from a stop, and sure enough it doesn't. There is only some friction. It seems to work fine ONCE parked, but my friends said e-brakes are supposed to lock the wheels even when moving or whatever, another kid said my cables were loose. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks

The cable is probably loose. Pull up the handbrake. On the bottom of the handbrake, there should be a nut. Use either a 10mm or 12mm to tighten the nut. See if that works.

Yes; just do what I told you in the previous thread. The nut will be accessible after you pull the handbrake up.
