I must be tripping

Today I washed my car. I noticed my spoiler on the driver's side corner, looked like gunk on it but it turned out the paint is cracking and looked like someone would sand papered it. Has anyone had that issue? I had it since i got it new, I always took well care on the car with washes and waxes. I wonder if it was due to the heat from the sun damage or something? Kind of freaked out, thinking whether if I would buy a new spoiler or get it to the bodyshop. I coudln't find my warranty book if Nissan covers it, since the car is already five years old.

as for the paint if you have less than 100K, it might still be covered, but as we all know Nissan it will not. If you want to fix it, just take it to a body shop or you can do it yourself with the Paradox paint.

I went to Nissan to have it looked at, you're right, they are not covered since it's not "peforation of the body" since it falls under the 3yr/36k warranty which that plastic spoiler would be considered as an accessories, which sucks. I'm going to take to body shop to get that fix. It bugs me since i wonder how can that happen. I suspected from years of washing and waxing, with those fine stratches cause the paint to give away to micro cracking.
