Hey, has anyone started or noticed a groaning or low whining sound coming from the AC compressor when the AC is on and it's say hot out? And also on the power windows, (doh, they're all power, nevermind) has anyone noticed when it comes down it tilts a bit. ie, you can see it shift forward and back as the window goes up or shift forward when coming down?

Just curious, I'm going to be taking the car in to have them hopefully fix everything that's messed up with the car... buzzing sounds from the A-Pillar, rattles on rear deck, window?, AC Compressor, Clutch groan when cold wet and going uphill, slightly warped brakes...etc.

Thanks

Young

yes i hear that too, if you also turn the wheel without moving the car you'll see the rpm go back and forth. Correct me if I am wrong but this occurs as the engine need power to move/operate a specific thing(window, steering wheel,AC,etc) so the engine gets more rpm for more power.

The AC compressor is a bit loud. The rpms jumping up and down when you turn the steering wheel is also normal.

AC Compressor

Nope, I understand your point on extra noises from say the power steering pump. I know this noise is not normal... it sound like (ie, the fan clutch engaged on a car with the fan blade attached to the engine, the louder whirling sound it makes, and no it's not the fan on the radiator that I hear on the car, it's loude, and very noticable and goes away right when I shut the ac off.) That's sort of what my ac compressor sounds like. And because it's intermittent when it's warmer outside, I bet the dealer may just say, "can't reproduce the problem, can't do anything" I hate these intermittent problems...

oh on engine RPM fluctuations, well, mine doesn't really move much at all if none at all, it just sounds slightly different.

I guess I'll just have to keep using the ac and hope it dies before the warrenty is up. I hate doing that too, hoping things will die on the car... hehe

yes, when you turn, the revs are raised when you are at idle so the engine does not stall out. The power steering pump does draw power from the engine.
