2000 Torque Specs for Wheel Nuts

on a 2000, is it 72-87 ft-lbs all around?

I always thought it was tight right before you started to pass out? lol check your manual, I think its in there but I would think 72-87 would be more than plenty.

manual says that for the front axle but doesnt specify for the rear

I use 80 lbs all round, per the manual.

I'm paranoid after almost losing a wheel on my DSM. I always do an even 100ft. lb. And put anti seize on your lug studs to get a more even torque.

80lbs according to the manual, but i do 85lbs just in case....

80 is accurate. No need to over-tighten just to "be safe". With the potential for lawsuits the manufacturer is already being MORE than safe.

i do 80lbs...it works great...and never had a problem loosening them either...

sometimes you get those tire shops who over tq it with an air gun...and its soooo hard to remove afterwards...its like breaking loose a suspension bolt!

80 is what the FSM calls...i'll prob go to 90 at the absolute max...cuz i know after that, it will break!
