Steering wheel feels funny.

Steering wheel feels funny.
I have an 03 maxima.
Is this a problem on all the maximas, but when i jerk my steering wheel slightly to the left or right (just Inches) (even if the cars on or off ) its has a funny feeling. It feels like its coming from right behind the steering. Does anyone know anything about this.

i don't feel anything weird with my steering when i jerk it slightly left or right. what exactly do you mean?
