clicking when accelerating

clicking when accelerating
i noticed it mostly when the ac is on, i accelerate hard and it doesnt downshift makes a clicking sound, i turned the ac off and heard it a little bit but it kicked down fine..would this have something to do with the coils or MAF, when i put my CAI on i got a ses light and the code was MAF related, any ideas?
