I was at the Autocross Portion of the show today and WOW it was amazing! I met Mr.K who is the Z god..brought the 240 to North America under the Datsun name. He also helped design some of the cars. 240, 280, 300, 300conv, 300TT, modded, pimped, riced, NOS, ole skool, everything! Not just a show but these cars were on the race track! All of them against one another....damn some of those 240 are crazy fast! They held their own against crazy 300TT, and modded 300. The old ones can handle like mad too! They sounded better than the TT although a couple of modded TT had nice sounding BOV flying down the straight away! The day was awesome and met some cool people from all around the world. Sweet cars and it was all free! Here is the first set of pics I have. I want an ole skool 240 big time now! Some of them sound a lot deeper and better than a Mustang 5.0.

How did that 240 get a nissan valve cover?? Shouldn't it say Datsun? The car looks totally stock...what gives?

It was Avalon Racing's 300ZX (latest gen). The brakes were so massive!

 

Of classic Datsun racing and clubing. I race a 1971 Datsun 510 in ITC and am addicted to it. The 240/60/80 Z cars are one of the best sounding motors out there. The inline 6 at 6000 rpm flying past you is the sh*t. These are the days when I think Datsun/Nissan was at there best.

Ya I was right in the middle of a straight away on a wall and they were passing by me at crazy speeds! Some of them sounded so awesome! TT and NA new gen Z got rocked by a couple of these cars. Just very cool to see various generations of the same car racing against each other. TT BOV sounds, different exhausts etc.... Can't say enough about it! Meeting Mr. K was very cool too!
