dtc 1320
hey guys, just got a 1320 on my car last night while driving back from playdrome to philly for a cheese steak... only one thing had occured..
stall at a stop.. had to keep my foot on gas for it to stay running
let it sit for 10 min, started and stalled right away.
so i drove it back to a relatives house and let it sit over-night. went to get scanner, saw code, and reset it.
there wasn't any misfire codes either..
i checked all the plugs by the valve cover and none were loose.
drove it around the block and it was fine
then i drove it back to atlantic city today and still fine.
any ideas?
and i'm assuming its primary ignition code according to this website. anyone disagree?

i'm guessing it's NOT a bad coil cuz there's no misfire code

You don't necessarily need a misfire code in order to have a bad coil. The coil or coils can be bad without even having a code appear. The infamous P1320 DTC is most common for bad coils and possibly other issues. But, about 90% of the time it's faulty coil(s). And, being that your car is a 2000, I bet it's the coils.

No misfire code means it didn't detect a misfire. Doesn't mean the coil isn't going bad. I actually just got a P1320 but it was accompanied by a P0302 which was the misfire.
You'll probably be fine if the coil isn't misfiring and the car is driving fine. Just don't be surprised if you get a misfire code sometime soon. They're bound to blow eventually. I've had two go so far.
