Sweet!

Does this work for non-OBD-II cars?

it was a WHOPPING

72.30, 2day shipping included

I will acquire the drive home and post it. (you could load the log in the downloadable version I think)

man.. I was barely hitting the throttle and spark advance really jumps. You have to get under some load to get the MAF to jump if seems.

You are the only retard around here.

No, this is a read only tool. Nice one though. Remember those Apexi and other one? Those were alot more and this seems to offer at least some of those features. Good for checking how the car is doing. Would be nice to see what the car is doing under boosted conditions wouldn't it?

Tim, does it show injector pulsewidth and o2 sensor readings? That would be pretty bad-***!

well,

I'm pretty sure it does... has 3 banks of O2 readings. among other things, down to intake and coolant temp.

You can reset the computer and the MIL light. I'd be too chicksh$t to try tho.

It won't kill you and it's simple (experience through watching Turbo95Max's scan tool).

Do it! Do it! Do it!

Did you purchase it from http://www.obd-2.com/? Which plug did you purchase, the 16-pin OBD-2 Indo3 Router plug? How is it that you only paid $72.30 when the cost from the web site appears to be $122.00?

And the biggest question of all . . . could the plug you purchased be connected to an MDM-100 Techtom? (Are you listening, Kev?)

Why would you want to connect two read only devices together?

No, he wants to use the Techtom because he doesn't want to carry a laptop around to see the info.

Very interesting Bruce. I really don't know. Do you have any pictures of the Techtom connection? If you do, can you post them because I have an idea. Let me find out if it'll work before I say anything.

actually....

yes, http://www.obd-2.com/

I scooped up on the group deal with shing.. 1%-2% off for every person in the deal... we got 40% of for 20 people.

I got the ISO. it works on a TON of cars. heck, a guy at work has a Dodge truck and I'm going to scan him on monday. He's having some knocking. Maybe we can find it as he's out of warranty and it will get expensive for him. I might even get my connector paid for if I save him enough (so he says)

oh and...

fyi... it works on ANY windows laptop... or use up to a 100 foot cat5 cable to a desktop. it will work from win3.1 up to 2000 (which is what I used) and from 386 and up. Seriously, you can scrounge up some ratty old $150 laptop to use, just need a serial port.

Cool piece of software. You should try gathering different datasets from different grades and types of gas. Then we will know if that 92 octane stuff really better or worse.

Hey Tim, where's the connector - behind the glovebox?

I'm going to try mine out tomorrow or Sunday, and haven't looked under the dash yet.

When I got my car back from the dealer after they used Consult™ on it, I noticed that the glovebox contents had been rearranged... (or maybe it was the standard Dealer Service Rifling)

Thanks

The port is near the fuse box. Put your head at brake pedal level and look up, you'll see the port staring in your face.

I don't think G-Force has a connection for our OBD-2 ports, Kevin. What I'm thinking is that if I've ID'd the port connector properly (namely the 16-pin OBD-2 Indo3 Router plug), I may be able to communicate to G-Force that they only need to provide a compatible DB-9 serial interface on the Techtom to allow it to work properly on our 5th Gen Maximas.

yep...

dealer was just sifting thru your stuff... most likely looking for old restaurant or gas receipts that have your full CC number and expiration on it.. Seen it happen (not at a nissan dealer tho)

I hate when they dont XXXXX out the number (except for last four). thats really dangerous to leave on the table when you leave the restaurant .
