Bulb Help ?!?!
Bulb Help ?!?!
Im looking into replacing my headlight and fog light bubls. Eventually i will be getting HIDs but for now i want something nice and bright. Which company makes the best bulb replacements in terms of brightness and look. This is for headlights and foglights. Also wut color set-up should i go for ( i have a 2000 charcoal grey maxima). Any pictures would be great!! thanks again
I'd go with yellow fogs but I have PIAA Super Plasmas in mine and they're brighter and whiter than stock. Look here for my pics: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1069823/3. I don't know what kinds of headlight bulbs I have because they were on the car when I got it and they're unmarked.
how do i get to the fog light bulb in order to replace them...for some reason i cannot do a search...someone help also i tried to replace my turn signals in my taillights and it said 1156 but the bulbs dont fit?? help
Once again, any white colored halogen bulb is NOT brighter than stock. Why? Because the blue glass is used to filter out the yellow color, thus reduced light output. Save your money for 2k2-2k3 HIDs.
That is not true I just had some 5000k blue bulbs and I had better output range and brightness compared to oem halogen. How do I know after a year and a half one burned out last night and I ran and got some oem halogen as a quick replacement. I was horrified I couldnt believe the difference. I actually took them back cause I thought thery were defective. I left the good one in and let the person at the autoplace look at the difference he was amazing too. This is common misconception in my book. The thing is you cant go to high on the k scale (no more than 6000) and you are fine. I only got complements on my aftermarket bulbs and the road and signs were much easier to see.

I am aware of this. However, when people in your car always complement you on the headlights. In addition, my friend was with me last night and commented on how gross the halogen output was. I used the wrong word my bulbs were brighter and had more output. Also I have heard people complain that the whte bulbs cant be seen in the rain or on black asphault. This is again wrong. Our eyes might favor white but I would take my bulbs over halogen any day. I will post pics when the new bulbs come in.

IMHO Piaa are over priced and it seems that some burn out early and some dont.
If silverstar's are as bad as people say... i dunno why but my buddy has had his for like 9 month's now... when you install headlight bulbs make shure you dont touch the glass bulb, i know how it causes it to prematurely blow but... i cant seem to come up w/ the words to describe it in text. You could just get the cool blue bulbs, they arent really blue... just bright really close to silver stars and i think they are like 14 dollars for 2, and I think silverstars are only 22 dollars, which is a long shot from a set of hid's
If it was me I'd go silverstars before PIAA's........ I've read about alot of people having issues with silverstars and I personally as well as may others have had no issues what so ever....... so like any halogen bulb it is hit or miss as well as dependant on your installation practices.
Beyond that I'd say Ebay some 4300-5000K colored bulbs and hope for the best, least you can get them cheap enough to make um worth your time

on the silverstars. They have a white color and put out some pretty good light for halogens with regular wattage.
