HOW-TO: Install Aftermarket horns w/ relay (FIAMM, STEBEL, etc...)

Alright, well...this is going to be a pretty qyick HOW-TO as there is not a whole lot involved. The first thing you will want to do is determine where you want to mount your horns. Now, people on cell phones on the road really **** me the f00k off, so I am using both an FIAMM and STEBEL air horn set. I am going to be mounting them underneath of the battery tray. Here's how it looks all bracketed up...on the second bracket I will be mounting the relay for the horns.

Now you will need to determine where you want it. I found ample space for these beneath the battyer tray. The FIAMM bracket was mounted using an open OEM hole. I simply used a bolt to slap everything in there. MAKE SURE YOU USE LOCK WASHERS!!! This will prevent everything from coming loose whiel you're driving. The STEBEL horn was mounted cloer to the radiator. I simply mounted this one using ome self-tapping screws into the chassis.

Now that that is all said and done, the last thing you need to do is hook up the relay.

The pins were connected as follows...

(86) - Connect a lead from one of the OEM horns to this pin.
(87) - Connect a 12AWG wire with a 30A fuse to this pin
(30) - Connect the positive wire from the horn(s) to this pin
(85) - Ground this one. Again, I simply used a self-tapping screw to the chassis. Make sure you sand away all the paint and just tighten everything up.

...and that's it! I'll try and get some sound clips later on.

I bought the same Stebel Naultilus Compact to put on my bike....

The thing is NOT really that compact so I am having a hard time finding a spot...

And the idea is to also put one on the car... they only cost about $45 anyway... and they are WAY MUCH LOUDER than stock....

Now you are a little horn freak yourself to install FIAMMs + the Stebel... the stebel itself is almost 140dB

Haha... I used to have a pair of those on my Eclipse before I sold it for my Max. They're known to have a higher pitched sound similar to a Trumpet. They're loud!... and on a quiet night you can hear them before you can see the car. I wanna say there around 110db.

They have a version that plays the Dixie Theme song from the Dukes of hazzard, 5 different sized horns.

Nah. All of the connections have been thoroughly wrapped to ensure they are protected. Plus it's mounted in a pretty safe location. Worst case scenario, I need to replace the relay.

Vids up tommorow fellas, I had an obligation to fufill tonight.
