Sudden Bose stereo loudness...
I know that the stock Bose stereo in an '03 adjusts the volume according to the speed being driven, but my Bose seems to jump in loudness. After being at highway speeds for a minute, the volume will then jump. To prevent this, I've found out that if I adjust the volume, the volume will jump to the louder volume. And this loudness jump will occur after every track on a CD. I don't know if this is normal behavior and what to do about it. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually I don't think it's related to speed, but rather the noise level in the cabin. So like if you have your windows down, the noise created by the wind will make the gain jump like 5 settings. (I vaguely remember reading that somewhere, so i could be wrong).
It's not very good at detecting it on it's own, which is why I normally keep it turned off. To do that, you hit the "audio" button on the Headunit until the feature comes up (it's after bass, treble, balance and fade) and you just hit the skip track button either up or down to turn it on or off.
I find that with the thing turned off, the system doesn't get as loud as when it's on.
