tail light covers....what's your opinion
Don't know what brought it up. Maybe I was remanissing about my old 89 SE with the completey blacked out tails and so I thought I would see what it looked like with mine on the 5th gen. MS paint ftw. What do you guys think. I searched a bit and couldn't find anything so I am guessing they don't have them, but I thought I would throw it out there. I guess opinions on how they would look on my car would also be greatly appreciated

acutally we do this for money, evrything is painted at the shop! visit us at http://www.myspace.com/lightwurkz for more samples!!!! and yes the whole thing was painted from the inside we had to take the lights apart and then glue them back!

I tinted mine with regular tint, only the red/orange part of the lenz and left the clear border. This was just in case I decide to change, you don't want to be stuck with the paint BS. Looks great on darker color cars but I think you should go a little lighter if you've got a light color car. IMO

You can do it yourself with this although it takes some technique and skill to make it look nice.

we don't use niteshades! only automotive paints! for tailights is difrent because we have 2 cut them open then paint the lence and glue it back sand it and pain the frame so tailights will be 300 since no on does that kin dof work for sale! headlights will be 220 if you are looking for external painting!

You better make friends with someone at a body shop my man. You gonna get took for 520.00 just to put a shade on your headlights/taillights? The asking price to get mine done was 100 for exterior paint on both. Cost of paint/labor. Advice... shop around or go to Lamin-X.com and just do with the protective film just in case you decide to change your mind later on.

Metal Maxima, very nice. How hard was it to disassemble the taillights? I was thinking about doing this, but I've heard taillights are harder than headlights. PM me if you could help.

On topic, I think tail light covers look good with a light smoke to them. Too dark, looks too out of place IMO. The second picture that Talyan posted, represents a nice smoke finish I would like on my tails... minus the price.

YEA I WAS THINKING it would be better with TINTED SIDE MARKERS....well smoked side markers, and his headlights already have a black housing... tinted headlights just dont do it for me
