1. Wrong forum.
2. Post pics of the back of the unit.
3. If #2 depicts the right harness (I think it will) then you will need the $100 GXE dash kit to make it look right in a 5h gen.

4. Your avatar says you have a 1996?

I know that it fits in the 4th gen, so I'm guessing with the same adapter (if any) it will fit in a 5th...measure the height and width of the HU and go measure your car to see if it will fit dimensionally. It'll probably look kind of weird, and it doesn't look small enough to fit inside of the navigation trim piece..

It looks like it will fit perfectly. A 98 Bose HU fit in my 2nd gen perfectly. At least you'll have two clocks.

Edit: I was speaking in reference to you 96 Maxima

Sorry for the wrong thread... and yea my avatar says 1996 but I have a 2002 maxima as well.

I am confused, this is a dash trim for GXE,

I do not see it fitting by any means as the pathfinder unit is a complete rectangle/square shaped and the one displayed with GXE trim is slanting or however you call it. BUT, do you think a trim with navigation would work ..? something like this ...

Any advise would be appreciated.

navi trim willl look retarded...it will have HUGE gaps on the sides of the headunit. I tried it already.....PLUS it won't even fit. It is too long to snap in place.

I do not mean to eat your head out bro, but all the GXE that I saw on ebay do not have the trim you showed me. Can you do me a BIG favor by telling me the part # of that trim or which specfic year that trims comes from ? Also would I need the GXE steel bracket to go with the trim in the back.

Then they're not GXE trims. I doubt you're going to find one on ebay.

I'm not sure which year the part came on except for my 00 GXE. You need no metal bracket.

How did you know that pathfinder unit could play mp3s? It doesn't say "MP3" anywhere on it.

I just attempted this, but there's one harness that won't plug into the Pathfinder HU. This is what the back of the HU looks like:

Anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for this HU in an 05 Pathfinder?
