Hey they were some overlays I got from "BATMOBLIE", they didn't last long. The cops didn't like them either. That was the Sentra I had till I got my Maax.

I paid $450 for mine, brand new still in Nissan box.....

You can find them for under $200 each at junkyards...I see them occasionally or on www.car-part.com

And you can find them here on the org...when 00-01 guys who have done the conversions sell their maximas, they put the OEM lights back in and sell the HIDs...just gotta know where to look.

For twice the price I would think that they have to be somewhat better. eBay projectors run for 200-220, those cost $400. I don't mean to hog the thread. But when you guys put the 02 lights on an 01. When you put on the High Beam, do the Low Beams shut off?

no, they stay on. You don't want your HIDs to be flashing on and off quickly, that's a nono.

Sorry but these headlights are not worth $400. If they had better color and light output then maybe. These H3 halogen projectors are among the worst I've seen.

Now I wish I took some beam pattern shots before I retroed my headlights.

Maybe it's cool with you but the light output for these do stink... A friend of mine has em and wishes now he would've went with the 02/03 mod like I told him before.
At least we fixed it cosmetically though. Getting rid of that orange blinker reflection, changing the parking light bulb to a nice white to somewhat match and painting out the housing. Not too bad now with the exception of the night driving, which matters the most.

I would do the 02/03, but that was a turn off for me not buying the 02/03. I spent alot of time at both my parents house and they both live in bad parts of the city. HiD's would be stolen in a heartbeat, upgrading to those would be like giving money away, in my case that is. Will stick with OEM and do the AE mod.
Even thought about this::: http://www.retro-solutions.com/

A friend of mine used them for his RSX and they did an amazing job. His HID Projectors are just beautiful. If I were to use the OEM 2001 Housing they use a Bi-Xenon projector. If it was not for the price, I would do this in a heartbeat.

If you guys with the ebay HIDs can't afford to go with a super retro with true HID projectors and ballast, you can install the mdx h9/h11 projectors. I ran that for a while until I could afford ballast and bulbs. Install h9 bulbs and the output will be wider and a little bit brighter than the stock 2k/2k1 housings. Those projectos run about $50 on www.HIDPLANET.com/forums, and hardware plus bulbs would add an additional $25. $75 is a lot cheaper than installing $100+ projectors and ballast and bulbs which is around $200.

here are the halogen mdx projectors using h11 bulbs. the h9's were brighter (IIRC, the focal points are the same too).

You don't need new lights. Split them, dry them and polish them out. They'll be a good as new.

Don't spend your money on something you could rectify yourself for just a couple of bucks.
