If the stock tails were all red, then everyone would be rushing to update/customize to clear/red as is OEM/stock on the 2002+. These kinds of questions drive me nuts b/c it's all personal taste, so why ask for other opinions? Do what you think looks good to you!

So, it's not just a clever username then?

Actually, the username's about it. I'm usually way too verbose.

My username was inspired by an anecdote I heard about a training class icebreaker where everyone in the room, in turn, had to say a one-word definition of him/herself. When it was his turn, one of the trainees said, "Succinct." For some reason that one had me ROFLMAO.

Maybe I should start a time-wasting thread asking for everyone to divulge their usernames' origins?

I think you should buy the ones with the red lens, crack them open and paint the surrounds black... Then they will look like the stock SE tails... The way they should.

Just my .02

whats wrong with chrome surrouding since its in fashion nowdays. new vehicles are being invented with chrome surrouding these days. our maxima's have old style tails and yes the black surrouding only look better on black color of cars. i got pearl white 2k1 se and i am just bored of seeing my stock tails lol thats the reason i want to buy those chrome ones from ebay. they are $85 pair, i would be fortunate if they can last me a year.

chrome surrouding would have looked better on your pearl white max. as i said the black tails only match the black cars. i got same color of cars that you have in the photo with same stock tails. the only thing i wish that surrouding shouldnt be black it should be chrome, i am not reffering 2k2 tails i am reffering the ones are above on this thread from ebay. not the clear ones though! BTW u will post a photo when i get those chrome ones sooner or later.

The RX330 has red reflector lenses on the bumper, so it makes it legal.

I had to bring this back. I was riding behind this car the other night on the way home and this thread was the first thing that came to mind.

It has the red deflectors on the side but they don't do ****. The housing is lit up by the red bulb inside which stays on and gets brighter when you press the brake. Other then that... nada

there is a reflector strip at the bottom of the tailight.
why do people argue this? THERE IS NO CAR MADE FOR THE US MARKET THAT DOESNT HAVE A RED REFLECTOR IN THE BACK.
stop trying to make a point by bringing up a car...there isnt one, so stop looking.
the lexus RX and the toyota prius both have red reflectors
