Maf

Maf
I have been experiencing some problems that are defiently sensor related.
Hesistation and vibration on occassion
Transmission shift points are changing
Transmission fluid pressure fluctuating causing a slip then jerk
ETC.
I know these all have to be related and I can only think of a few sensors that control the Trans and Engine.
MAF, TPS, MAP, ETC.
2000 stock MAF.
If I didn't know of the common maf problem I would lean toward TPS.
Two questions
1.) Has anyone had any TPS problems on their 5th gens?
2.)For the folks who have replaced their MAFS, did you have trans slipping and shifting problems. (Sometimes the rpms sit @ 3K and won't climb and at the same time it won't shift.....Also as stated above when I put the engine in gear during vibration it will rev for a second then jerk like the fluid pressure is low.)
Thanks in advance.

Sorry to ask a question on your thread, but i think its better then having a million threads.
Under what warranty is the MAf covered? Is it under the 60 thousand mile warranty? Or am i out of luck and have to fork out the money ?

'Transmission shift points are changing'
- check the o2, pull it out, and give it a good cleaning
by wiping it very carefully w/ a cloth
Jerkiness can be often solved by checking the MAF, clean the airbox and screen too. do it w/ a cloth- but clean the maf w/ compressed air (w/o getting the liquid co2 on the maf)

I have the same issues. They started last week when I cleaned my TB. I removed the rubber hose from the air box to the TB and cleaned with aerosol gum cutter. I guess some of it sprayed onto the MAF because it hasnt been the same ever since.
Today I removed the TB, cleaned it really really well. Cleaned the IACV too. It was encrusted with carbon. I also used aerosol MAF cleaner on the MAF and some of the symptoms are gone but I still have weird shift points and it seems my high RPM torque is gone. Low RPM torque and idle is awesome now. So smooth.
I'm going to see if I can do more research on this before I change my MAF but the cleaner spray definitely helped a lot.
