04+ motor/ecu in a 5.5gen

i remember reading a thread about it, but cant find it. how will emissions be effected by the external egr and the 5.5 ecu?

i remember reading that ecu + IM = diff. in power for 04+ maxima motors. if that is so, would swapping in 04+ ecu + 04+ motor in a 5.5 gen be a good idea? would the CAN system effect emissions on a car made for obdII? would swapping be the only thing required?

Only reason the IM is different is because of the EGR. getting the ECU to control the BCM would be another wiring obstacle.

In the end, modding a 02/3 3.5L is still better than modding an 04+ engine.
