2001 AE alarm problem

Guys my damn alarm goes off like every 45 minutes. I did a search and found out that the hood sensor might be broken but it is all good. I made sure the lights are all off and the doors are all shut but its still goin off. Any one have any ideas? Thanks

In what condition are your remotes? Are any of the buttons worn? The panic button may be making contact beneath the red rubber button. Where do you store your keys? If all else fails, try this link: it's at maxima.theowensfamily.com under technical bulletins

Hope this information is helpful.

Is there any other way to disconnect the alarm besides taking off the battery terminal? I can get the alarm to stop if i take out the fuse but the lights will flash. Is there anyway to shut it all off?

well believe it or not there could be a low battery in the remote. have the battery changed and see what happens.

I just asked my friend he said it could be the any zones that is triggering the alarm. So he suggested disconnecting the battery for about 15 to 20 minutes which should reset the factory alarm brain

Check the owners manual. You may be able to pull a fuse that will kill the alarm and still leave the car driveable.

Your ECM unit was fried by Stealership . ECM I believe is the one that controls body electronics, correct me if I'm wrong. Try using TSB provided above. I bet it won't work. I've tried it. Same thing happenned to me when I was Attending to make LED key ring. BTW does your key ring lits on all the time? Well just go back claim that problem started after servising your max there. If they will deny that it was their fault (they deff. will) go somewhere else and have you ECM checked.

Good luck!!!
