Who doesnt? Where I work there are many nice cars Porches, Z06s, an Elise, a MB SLR, AMG MBs, even a Bently Continental and more.
I was going to buy an Audi S4 but the insurance and maintence costs blew that idea.
I like my max just fine.

That's a fine MAx right there. I recommend a clear bra instead of that black one. I used those for 22 years and I went clear this past summer.

I had a 99 AWD Astro van before looking for another vehicle. I just couldn't take the bad gas mileage, sloppy handling and nonexistent acceleration.
So I looked at the Audi A6 quattro. Had an old quattro before and missed the solid footing of the car in snow and ice. Unfortunately when I did happen to find a 5-speed version, it was out of my price range and/or high miles. Audi's need intensive maintenance to keep going and I just wasn't prepared for that.
Started to realize a Maxima might be a more sane choice. I always liked the 94 SE's, but nothing really got my attention. When I found my 2000 for a GOOD price, I practically ran out the door to go look at it.
Happy as a clam now. What a car.
EDIT: I also briefly looked at the BMW 3-series, but apparently they have a lot of mechanical/electrical issues. I'd still like to have one just because the stickshift is butter, but not right now.

All the more reason for the clear bra. Protection.

I've lost most of my reimbursement for runzhiemer for my max and now I have to replace it with a company car. A dodge caliber of all things! If I could just learn to be content with whatever I have! If anyone is interested in a 02 max 6 spd with everything on it email me greg.stagner@gmail.com

When was the last time you drove a new Frontier? If it has the 4.0 V6 it isn't anywhere near slow.

for whoever said FD Rx-7 with a swap, I would go for a mildly built LS1 all motor around 500whp, coilovers and sway bars. I am a former Rx-7 owner (2nd gen) and they are a great car for the money and I really do miss it. I would also consider an s2000 with lots of suspension mods and a blower to get some low end torque. For a daily driver car I would consider an '07 G35 sedan, IS350 (if they decide to make a 6-speed), Subaru Legacy GT (6MT also). I really like the TL and accord but I do not want another FWD car. I like RWD and miss it also.
After saying all of this I am still very happy with my max. I am the type of person who really likes change but the max has managed to please me very well and I don't plan on trading it in anytime soon. As soon as I have a stillen kit, h-techs w/ illuminas, New wheels, AVN-6600 and LSD swap I will be completely content.

I still love my max even tough I only drive it like 6 months a year, but my next car will be an M5. I'll probably buy a 2003 or 2004 if my finance are very good then it will be a 2005. Since the first time I drove that car I just cant remove those 2 letter & number out of my head, but before I want to finish the max project ( S/C, IC, headers & a custom thrue dual exhaust and couple of other things. I'm looking to buy the M5 in a year or so.

I'm also in the process of buying a house and know that i'll need a truck badly. I love the titan, IMO it is the best looking truck/ bets overall truck especially when compared to the dull tundra or the ugly looking ridgeline. The fords look pretty nice too. I love my maxs'. Can't wait to drive the 5.5 gen. But , truck > sedan for a homeowner.

Guess i'll throw my .2 into the conversation, honestly with all of the money, time and energy i've put into my max there's no way i'm going to sell it unless someone makes me a hell of an offer. No dealer is going to give me half of what i've put in/what it's worth so she's going to be in my garage till she can't run anymore.
So hopefully in a few years I can get my hands on either a new Skyline or maybe a Camaro. Or if I can find a low mileage 2006 GTO i'd be happy!

the only down side is it's gonna be a b*tch to drive in the snow with that rear wheel drive... but on the up-side of rear wheel drive, say bye bye to torque steer.. that stuff is so annoying with my max.. everytime i downshift (with an automatic) i have to hold the wheel with both hands to keep the car on course.. that acceleration is nice though

I never really "loved" my 03 Maxima 6-speed, altho I appreciate its positive attributes such as its light weight and power. I just do not want to live with its idiosyncracies any more.
Also, my wife doesn't like the Maxima. I test drove a new Honda Accord V6 and to me it was like night and day - I loved it! Better yet, I have spousal permission to spend the extra bucks to get the Honda, so my Max is on the market. Life's too short not to be happy with the car you own.

I cant wait to pay this off so i can get an evo. i mean the max is nice but the front wheel drive just is'nt as fun as a rear wheel or all wheel drive car. Both cars have awesome engines but i just want a turbo awd car..

I drove an 07 escalade today, that might have to be my next car when i graduate, it was pretty nice and the gas mileage is 5 mpg worse than the max on the highway ( I get 24 if I'm lucky, the escalade is 19 on the highway) I like the max a lot tho

An Escalade is just a rebadged Chevy isn't it?

I love the max, and it will be really hard to part with when I do sell it. I have put a ton of money and hours of my own work to get it where it is.... But a twin turbo BMW just sounds fantastic. It doesnt help that I work for BMW tho.

I LOVE my 6spd Max., dont get me wrong, as far as having something fun to drive....I came from an E36 BMW M3 to the Maxima after 2 months I needed another M3.
So I bought a S/C M3 that is REALLY fun to drive and gets shi#@y gas mileage. Now I have the M for fun and the Max for everyday. The best of both worlds.

For now, I'm happy with what I got, but as soon as I'll get the funds I'm definitely getting something different.
Actually, I will not be satisfied until I get something with a high revving v8 behind the driver's seat.
