LOL - when I was researching the new ride, the list went all the way from the G to the FJ Cruiser. Those things look like they're freakin' bullet-proof

I like the Max a lot (still have it for the moment, still fun to drive), and it's the second one I've owned - pretty fast, good price, comfortable, etc, and other than a broken engine mount no repairs. Wanted to switch back to RWD though, and get all of the new technology, so ended up buying.

There's always something better, but I see the 5th gen as a sweet spot on the diminishing returns scale. I'd love an M45, but in the end it's just an incremental upgrade in power, features, handling, and comfort - for twice the $. I'd rather use the money saved on a new plasma and a bigger house. No regrets w/ my Max purchase. It was a great value and unlike the competition, actually fun to drive.

The 03 SE I have is a nice but not a long term high mileage vehicle.

The 98 Altima I have has turned out to a PITA at 150K so the Max is getting kicked to the curb prior to that mark.

Just my $0.02

Of course it has extra features. That's the only way they can pull it off.

My Maxima is a temporary vehicle. I bought it because we had just bought a house and were getting established in our jobs. I am also working on my MBA so I didn't feel like spending through a lot of our cash. So I bought the Maxima...next vehicle will probably a 3 series BMW (E90 of course) or an 07+ G35.

I was looking into the BMW M3 and Corvette but an NSX is more to my liking. Now I just need to find the money.

There's always something better..

When I went to england I got to drive two of the main Nissans ppl lust after (R33 GTST and a Pulsar GTi-R) and honestly, theyre fast, but nothing real special about them. They are however, more aesthetically pleasing than say the maxima on the outside though.

I'm going to move to JP or NZ anyways, so there's no point getting discouraged just yet. Just find a nation wide job.

I saw a Pulsar GTi-R in New Jersey ... I was shocked. I have the picture on my cell phone. I first thought it was a MK2 Golf/GTI with a HUGE intercooler but it seemed a little different. I noticed RHD and knew what it was before I went around the car. Honestly, it's an ugly car.
