bit the bullet - all new coils - have question

Well after 6+ years and my 3rd original equipement coil failed I decided to replace the remaining 3. My question is - Are the next generation of coils reliable - ie can I forget about the damn things now?

thanks

what car do you have? do you have a 3.0 motor? im assuming so.

i have updated to the grey dot and i have not had a problem since and its been about 40K miles. there are people on here that have had problems even with the new grey dot coils, but i dont think that number is very high. IMO, dont spend more than 300 and you'll be getting a good deal.

My cost

Well my mech. charged me $80 per coil x 4 plus $90 labor so the bill was 470 with tax for 4 new coils. Seems high, but then again the dealer would have charged at least $100 more.
