The Starter failed again!

This will be the 2nd starter in 2 years for my max. I've been hitting it with a hammer for about two weeks now and finally it went kaput. I got 172k on my max and I swear the starter that came with it lasted me 140k!!

I'm thinking about the Duralast from autozone with a one year warranty since I know this car will probably only last me about that. Anyhow, anyone have a write up on how to remove and replace it? What tools etc...I don't want to pay the shop $150 to install it. The actual part is $150 so that would be $3 bills and that would be eating into my rent money.

u got 00? right? if so its very easy i work at a auto shop out here in jersey and infact i got one with the same problem in the shop right now. #1 diconnect batt #2. remove air filterbox ,do not get intimidated, go for it . once thats out u can see the starter. remove both bolts and thats it really . since its your first time it might take a good hour or hour1/2 to do max it takes me 30 min. some times the bolts on the starter are really tight but not to worry use your super strengh and you'll be ok. any questions holla back i'll help
