So, I need to replace my rear coils on my 2000 Maxima. What year coils will fit my car. Evidently 2002 Maxima coils are the same on the front and rear, so I want to make sure.

a search will help...go with the stock 2000 coils there better. u can get them on ebay i paid like 65 for mine or u can call dave b. his # is in the stickies...

which coils are bad and how do i know its only the rears?

 

I replaced the fronts already. Now I just want to replace the rears which are longer than the front coils and have the plug situated at a completely different angle than the front coils.

 

well if u would have checked the coils b4 u replaced them u would have found out which one(s) is(are) bad...they have a coil tester which u can get from the parts store it looks like a fly swatter...but if u check the codes it would also tell u which is bad...the backs are 1 3 5 and the fronts are 2 4 6 left to right.

and yes the 2 coils are different...
i found the rears for a good price. if u buy 3 i am sure he will drop the shipping...
