I know that the 3rd gear synchros are weak on the 6-speeds. I don’t have any warranty and about to hit 108k miles. I hear replacing/repairing the synchros would cost more than just replacing the tranny. I could still drive the max with no problem but when I am hauling *** or at high rev’s 3rd gear will grind and downshifting to 3rd gear is impossible.
It kill the fun out of my max.... ...

Any advice? Where can I get my transmission replace around the 91706 Area and how much am I looking at.
