For the peace of mind I say yes.... The main thing to worry about is the tranny were like the Beta testers for infinti. But the tranny's so far rarely fail but ultimately only time can tell! If you plan on keeping this car for 5 + years i say go for it.

I say..save the money and use it to mod on your car. However, if you have bad luck following you around or you beat your maxima to death..then Yeah, definitely get it.

Something tells me saying this..I will have some bad luck...

The prices you guys are talking about for ESCs are about twice as much as what you could/should be paying for comparable coverage.

Shop around and you will find better deals.

Save the money and start to self-insure all your possessions.

Take $1,000. deductible on your homeowners policy
Take $1,000. deductible on your Comprehensive and Collision coverages on your cars
Refuse all extended warranties on cars, TVs, electronics, appliances, etc. and put the money you would have spent aside and pay any repairs and losses out of that pool of cash.
I've been doing this since 1980 and estimate I have saved over $20,000. in insurance premiums and ESCs and other warranty items over 32 years.

Best of luck.
