SES light??
Coming home from work tonight and the SES light comes on, still drives normal though. Just wondering what you guys thoughts were, going to autozone in the morning to see what kinda code I get. I have 90,000 miles on it. I just installed my berk intake about 1 week before also. with the dry apexi filter.

SES light??
It could be your MAF (Mas Airflow Sensor). I had some problems when i first installed my intake, if the intake is not secured properly nad its shaking, the ses light might come on. It happend to me, got the code it was the MAF i checked the MAF there was nothing wrong with it, so i secured the intake cleared the code and no more ses light till this day. this was 5 mounths ago. Ofcourse u wont be sure untill u get the actual code and see what it is. goodluck

thanks guys, I went to autozone this morning and I got a code P0420, which said (catalyst system efficiency bor bank 1 below threshold for the current engine operating conditions.) Is this the O2 sensor some of you are talking about? I read somewhere that I need to get my ECM reprogrammed, do you guys know anything about this or should I just take it to the dealer and let them change out whatever to get it fixed. I've got an extended warranty so price doesn't matter

If you make a change/do a mod. and then shortly after you get the SES light ON, then chances are it's related to the change or mod. In this case I believe the Berk Intake has no hose adaptor for the power steering Air Control Valve supply hose that normally is connected to the stock intake "air box". This hose supplies air into the intake downstream of the TB via the power steering Air Control Valve when you crank the steering off center, particularly when there is high vacuum at idle and at low throttle openings and this air is "seen" by the MAF and ECM and the ECM "tweaks" the fuel delivery as required to maintain the correct AF ratio. If this hose is not connected between the MAF and the TB when this air enters the intake, the MAF and ECM never "sees" it. Effectively a lean condition occurs, dumping to much O2 into the cat/s causing the P0420 to be set.

I have everything connected that there is a place for. I've got the MAF and three hoses connected. I do have a question though. I have this factory air scoop looking thing that was hooked up to the factory air box, and it has a connector/sensor pluged into it. what do I do with this connector/sensor?? You'll see it if you look at my cardomain page. it looks like a factory ram air scoop. thanks for the help guys.

hey guys,
would this code cause my car to shut off while driving b/c that's what it did today. I have a 5 speed so I started it right back up. I also reconnected my factory intake box b/c I will be taking it to the dealer tomorrow.
