HID woes - how do you replace the bulbs!?!

I have a 02 maxima - the xenon bulb went out (tested for the fuse/relay first and eventually just swapped the bulbs to make sure it's dead). I was able to remove the bulbs by first removing the outer cover, then lifting the clips up on either side of the socket, then wiggling the socket out, and then removing the bulb. When I go to put the socket back in, which houses the bulb, I cant. I can jiggle it to get it stuck in place and then put the clips back down, but that doesn't really do me any good since the bulb is at an angle. Is there a proper instruction guide on how to replace the hid bulbs?

Thanks in advance

BTW, eBay's got them for pretty cheap...less than $40/per (less than $70/pair). Search: philips d2r

Put the bulb into the socket first, set it into the housing then put the clips back down and you should be set.

Ya, unplug the black part connector first.

make sure the metal rod on the bulb is facing down. your bulbs have the gray shield thing around it right? just to make sure you didn't get d2s instead of d2r's.

It's too me several tries also...look at the socket and match the tangs. Take it slow and it should clip in. Good luck

for the 00-01 maximas you'll need the whole kit since it did not come with stock hids. the 02-03 have stock hids so we can just change the bulbs.
