2002 Power moonroof

Anyone had a problem where sometimes if you brake hard enough that your moonroof will automatically slide open 2 inches out of the blue? I would have slide to switch back and forth to close it. I'm thinking t could be a loose battery connection but haven't checked yet it and just wanted some opinions. Thanks.

I have a problem with mine too...
It doesnt work at all. The "Tilt" works but the "slide" doesnt work at all. I have replaced the switch twice, that fixes the problem for a few months, then it goes out again...
Any ideas??

Sometimes my switch will go in and out. I sometimes have to slide it back and forth the same as you just to get it to move. Also, at excessive speeds, mine won't open or close at all, but just working on it's own, nope. You're car's possessed.

Yes, the motor actually drives the moonroof open. It's not just the glass sliding on it's own.

mine opens half way all by itself, usually when it's hot outside and the car has been sitting for awhile.

The car just needs a little bit more of a breather on those hot days

I thought I might resurrect this from the dead as I continue searching... My moonroof does the same thing, it randomly decides to open all by itself, and I have to fiddle with the switch to get it to work.
When it does that, if I slide the switch all the way forward or back, nothing happens. I have to keep jiggling it back and forth until it moves, than move it one notch away from closed, and than *usually* I can close it all the way once it stops. Sometimes it takes a good 2-3 minutes for it to actually work.
I'm trying to find what's causing it so I can fix it, without just removing the fuse.

When I don't use mine regularly, occasionally it will either open up an inch or tilt up on its own.

Mine has never had that problem. but for those that said it doesnt work, it has to do a relearn procedure if you have disconnected your battery. Just press and hold the tilt for at least 5 seconds each way and that fixes it. (when mine stopped working anyway...)

press the tilt several times until the sunroof moves all the way back and all the way forward till it closed, then you can use the slide button. it needs to be relearned
