00-01 SE tail lights on 02-03 Fit?

I tried to use the search, but no beans. For some reason it wouldn't even let me search anything....
Pretty much what the title says. I have an 03 SE with those gross tail lights. I really want the 00-01 Black SE tails, but I just want to be sure that they will work before I buy them. Let me know!
Thanks!
Aaron

They fit just fine. The bulb mounting is different so use the bulbs and wiring from the lights you're puting in. The plugs are the same so there's no cutting or splicing to worry about.

Just be careful with that black stuff they're sealed with. It's nasty and won't come out of your clothes.

They will fit, as already stated. Just make the 00-01 tails that you buy come with their own wiring harnesses. You will not be able to use the harnesses from the 02-03 tails.

Sorry, but it does work, the 02-03 turn signal lamp holder is smaller than that of a 00-01 tail, you can "jamb" it in the 00-01 housing...i did and it works fine on my gle's.

its when you go from 00-01 that its to big to work, but duct tape cures cancer

Sorry, I don't consider "jamming it in" or duct tape as "working" or "direct fit". But to each his own.

Keep in mind that the 00's and 01's use amber colored bulbs with clear reflectors. Not sure of the bulb sizes. The 02's and 03's use clear bulbs with amber reflector.

Respectfully,

You may be able to work something out with this guy about the lights instead of going to e-bay. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....18511&posted=1

haha.. ok, you also don't need the bulb in the socket for it to work, but what does that mean? it works! as long as the bulb lights up, right?

if you are going to do it...do it right. get the tails and the correct harness and bulbs.

and make sure to seal the new ones so you dont end up with 3 inches of water in your spare tire well like i did.

best price anywhere - (107.70 for the pair shipped) http://www.atozautolights.com/
harness from daveb - $35 for both
