Yes, there are updates.

I am in the process of having these CNC machined as we speak. They should be cut before the end of this week and shipped to me promptly thereafter.

Also, I am scheduled to meet with a 5.5 gen test Maxima between April 2nd and 4th. As soon as I am have these tested, they will be available for sale.

I am thinking of only offering these in 2 or 3 stages. One will consist of the TB, Elbow, and Upper Intake Manifold spacer. The other will consist of the TB, Elbow, UIM, and both LIM spacers. I can offer a much more inexpensive alternative that will include just the TB and Elbow spacers for those that don't want to remove their UIM or LIM.

The full kit is still projected to be around $200. I haven't set a price on the different level of kits I will offer. As soon as they are tested, then I will know exactly what each kit will include. Then, I'll release the final product with full information and pricing for each kit.

Cant wait.

Btw, the intake manifold is really easy to pull off on the 3.5

I changed my plugs lastweekend and it wasnt bad at all.

If anyone has removed the manifold on a 4th gen before , this is way easier.

I totally agree! The upper intake manifolds on the VE30DE and VQ30DE have a lot of stuff attached to it, which makes it a pain. But on the VQ35DE, it's a LOT easier! It will make the 3.5 kit a pretty straight forward bolt on modification that pretty much anybody can install. I will include full installation instructions too with my kit.

Just so I understand correctly. Your referring to the upper and lower intake manifold collectors, correct? Not the actual manifold. Or does one of the spacers actually get installed under the intake manifold as well?

The order of the manifolds from where the air enters into the motor are as follows:

Throttle Body, Elbow, Upper Intake Manifold, Lower Intake Manifold, Heads

If you are looking at the terms used in the FSM, then they will be called in the same order as the list above:

Electronic Control Throttle Actuator, Intake Manifold Upper Collector, Intake Manifold Lower Collector, Intake Manifold, Heads.

And yes, the full kit will have spacers that install underneath the lowest intake manifold that go between the intake manifold and the head.

In total, about how much higher will this put the manifold up after full kit is installed? Trying to get an idea of how much higher the FSTB will have to go on my auto.

Your UIM will be raised exactly 3/16". The spacer material will be made from 1/4" phenolic composite. And the 1/16" thick UIM metal gasket will be replaced, giving you a 3/16" raise in manifold height.

are we going to have to buy new oem gaskets? I believe a few of these gaskets are made of metal and should be reusable. what are your thoughts on this? and since I will have the intake manifold apart at the same time I thought I will just replace the spark plugs since they have 50k on them and it seems like a good idea.

I would definitely consider changing the spark plugs while you're in there.

You do not need to buy new OEM gaskets. My spacers seal great without using gaskets. I recommend a very thin coating of silicone RTV around each port to help it seal. For those that want to use a gasket on each side of the spacer, you can go that route also. The bolts provided are long enough for that.

yaa I think I will take your advice and just use the spacer as the gasket and put high temperature RTV around the ports. Also I am going to buy copper plugs. After using different NGK plugs on my old car I found out that there is really minimal difference between copper, platinum, and iridium. Only life of the plug.

The lower spacers will consist of 2 pieces. I don't have a price as of yet. But I expect just these two lower IM spacers to go for under $60 by themselves.

Are we going to make a list of people who get these from the first batch cause it seems that there will be a limited amount at first? or is it just gonna be first come first serve?

It will be a first come, first serve basis only. But when my supply starts getting low, I will make sure to make more so there won't be a backorder problem.

I don't know. Did I say that somewhere? I might have said that it might be possible to have these ready by the end of March, but there were delays in getting some parts that I needed.

But the prototypes should be in my possession early next week so I can conduct my testing on the 3.5L. Then after that's done, I will be able to start taking orders.

My initial goal was actually to have the first batch ready for sale by the end of March! But since I didn't get the parts I needed until 2 weeks after I wanted, things are delayed by exactly 2 weeks. I don't want to publish any dates since I don't know what other problems I might run into.

But please be assured that I am FULLY focused on getting the 3.5 kit released as soon as possible. I take pride in my work and strive to offer the best customer service you've ever experienced!

I know everyone is excited.
But just wait until he said they're ready to go.
I'm sure he wants to sell them as bad as we all want to buy them....

I on the other hand get to be the first person to see what thing is really gonna do

I am definitely in for the full kit, especially after meeting Aaron and seeing a sample of the spacer created for the 3rd Gens.

Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing the results of this. I was thinking about getting a y-pipe but then I saw this and I'm starting to rethink about the y-pipe. Gains will probably be similar but it will be cheaper apparently.
