Current pricing on '01 SE 5spds

Hi guys!
So what have people been paying for 2001 Maxima SE 5spds (not anniv editions). Is it hard to find them that aren't loaded? I don't really want leather but I might accept it. I have a feeling it's hard to find SE's without it. I just want the comfort and convenience pkg and the CD changer. The one I looked at today was loaded, had a bunch of typical dealer add-on crap and stickered at over $30K. Ummm... I don't think so! I'm looking to get into an SE for no more than $25K + ttl. Is this possible?
TIA...

If it is at all possible then may I sugest you hold off for a month or two. I say this because there will be big dicounts on 2K1 max's very shortly, say 3-5k BELOW INVOICE . You may want to check out www.carsdirect.com , they should have exactly what your looking for and cheap.
I don't know if you have seen the new Altima but it is better then the 2k1 MAX in more ways than one, a little cheaper too. Incase your not familiar with it then check out www.nissandriven.com and look under future driven. Also look at www.nissannews.com .

It is very possible to get a 2001 max for around 25k. I purchased mine in February, (picked up on valentines day, Awh!) and settled on 22,900. I got an excellent deal on mine because of the friendship between my girlfriend's family and the sales guy (her parents bought all of their cars from him in the past), so he was able to pass on a worthwhile savings over to me that I could not resist. Mine is a 5spd (5spd's cost less than automatics), and the only option package is the comfort and convenience package. The sticker was around high 26k. I specifically did not want leather, and although this combo is very rare, they can be found. Try a bunch of dealerships as inventory varies greatly, and while one dealer might tell you it is impossible to find this combo, another dealer may be carrying tons of the combo that you want.

If you wait for the 2002 Altimas and 2002 Maximas to arrive at your dealership before you buy a 2001 Maxima, I think you'll be absolutely amazed at the kind of discounts and incentives you'll be able to get. After all, who in their right mind would buy a 2001 Maxima for sticker when the 2002 Altima SE will tromp all over it, let alone the 2002 Maxima?

i got my SE 5 speed full option for $26500 in october. i was originally looking for a 2k 5 speed but couldnt find any so i had to settle for the 2k1. i would be careful about waiting couple of months... although it will definitely be cheaper later on, you might not be able to find the right car. five speeds are not that common, and with the price dipping, they will be the first to go. i read your profile and since your from AZ, im assuming you dont need leather... but SEs without leather are really hard to find... 25k with tax and tags or without tax and tags? 25k without tax and tags seems obtainable...

I bought mine in May.. 2001 SE with comfort and convenience package. Sticker on it was 27,400. It is an automatic. We had them throw leather in it, and got it out the door for 26,700. That included everything, the leather, and tax, tags, title, and all the other crappy dealer fees thrown in. So without the leather and taxes and title and everything else it came to about 24,500. He tried to get me to pay for half of the leather..the hell with that.

I just purchased a fully loaded Majestic Blue Anniversary Edition. Sticker was 30,700. I got out the door at 28,500. They also offered up a fully loaded SE for 26,000. If you haven't talked to a sales person give it a shot. You might be able to convince them they want to sell you the car.
If you did talk to someone and they won't budge try another dealer.

If that were the case, I doubt Nissan would have published info on the new Maxes. They just cannot afford to knock that much off of the cost of a car.

Maxima's are currently selling at invoice so then add cash back incentives. I feel very strongly that 3-5K discounts will be in the very near future, do you remember 1998? Take the 2001 Altima for example, they allready had a $2K cash back incetive. I whould say that in the next week or so there will cash back incentives on 2K1 max's. I feel this way because the 3.9 APR deal just ended and it is now time to start slashing prices. Just wait and see...

Email me if you want the CHEAPEST price for a Max in ARIZONA. You'll most likely pick it up from a dealership in Phoenix, but it can be delivered for around $100. I can hook you up with my autobroker who I and my family have gotten 10+ cars from.
