hasnt been done...from my limited knowledge of engine internals, it cant be done and if it can, i doubt it does anything. it isnt the cams that give the extra power, its the .5 liters.

the 3.5 cams are slightly more aggressive, but would give a rough idle and fully retarded position if simply installed into your 3.0, you would need to drill the cams. just get some that were designed for use in your engine

I am installing VQ35 cams this spring, you will also need spacers/adaptors. BTW this topic was discussed a lot in the All Motor section, thats where I got all my info and research from.

um yes. Look in the AM section. It has been done. All you need is cam spacers and the VQ35 cams are more aggressive. It has nothing to do with displacement.

ya if i have more posts that means i know more then you. ok. that is one of the most stupid statements i'v ever heard. i mean. did you think before typing that? i hope not. i love seeing people with under 500 posts pwn 1k+ posters

your post count does not = your intelligence, car knowledge or anything . it simply means you have to much free time to spend on an online car forum instead of living life, driving your max, or making money to do mods...

also. saying someone is wrong and not correcting them or at least giving a link is stupid. back up what you have to say or shut up. saying your wrong isn't helpful at all. this forum is to help other maxima users and educate all of us.

Post count aside, he did mention nismology has more knowledge than said poster, and I would agree. Here is a helpful thread on the subject, created by ...

i said "he has more posts and knowledge than you"
no where did i say that his knowledge was a direct result of his post count.
very rarely does someone with 500 posts "own" a veteran with a significant post count. never happened to me.

You really ARE insulting our collective intelligence by linking us to those archaic threads.....

With that said, cams aren't optimized for VTC. It's the exact opposite. VTC is there to optimize a given cam profile.

optimized meaning work best with, just like most cams would. all i was saying about that was that it would have a rough idle since there are no VTC's to change the cam advance at idle
