Need some help from the org (sunroof, kinda long)

In the fall I took out my sunroof motor and it was junk, so i threw it away. I am in the process of buying a new one but the dealership tells me that my VIN comes up as having NO sunroof. I clearly have one, the glass has the NISSAN sticker on it, and the factory switches control the motor. I know because I got a new set of switches from the dealership in trying to fix the problem.
What I am looking for is if someone could take a picture of the sunroof motor from their factory sunroof that have on a 2000 max. i cant seem to prove to these guys that I have a factory sunroof, so I wud like to see a picture to compare from my memory of the one i took out. More helpful if you have it out and from 2-3 angles, but a pic of it behind the map light assy may help too.

Since I cant convince them, I am starting to doubt the fact that mine is factory, and just need to be sure before I spend 190 on a new one. Thanks for any help.

Why the hell should it matter if your car came with a Sunroof or NOT... You should still be able to buy the part.

Try a different dealership.

two dealerships have said that they cannot guarantee the part. They are under the impression that I have an aftermarket sunroof. I just went down to my local dealership and talked him into it, the prob its they was 230 for the motor plus Mass tax, i may just order it anyways and get it over with.

I was going to the same thing, but it depends how much your time is worth to you.

You can always call Dave B to see if you get a better price.

I have heard of dealer installed sunroofs. That might be what happened in your case.

Yea, the dealer installed sounds like a good possibilty. I think im just gonna go wit the $173 and tell the guys that I dont car eif they are convinced. The dealership 2day said that an aftermarket one would have a diff. glass, and switches for that matter, so Im jus gonna go with it, thanks guys for your input
