is this even possible? autoenginuity Q

I replaced my evap cannister today because it was throwing 2 codes. I hooked up my laptop with autoenginuity and found the codes are clear. I've never tried the timing advance feature but I figured sonce nissan is giving me a new engine tommorrow I'd try it out. But before that I thought it might be a good idea to see where it is at. SO I picked ignition timing cylinder#4 on the chart. It came up at 24 degrees!! Is it even possible for that to be right? The car seems to be running fine but that seems outrageously high.

Did you check what it showed for other cylinders? Just wondering, for all I know there could be different timming for differnet cylinders, since they fire is a certain order.

Well, that answers that question. Are you the original owner of the car. It might be possible that the first owner had the timming advance by someone who didn't know what they were doing.

it isn't a big deal really, except for the fact I'll be P.O'd that a $400 software program doesn't work properly. New engine going in Monday after work so I'm sure the timing will be set up right when I pick it up tuesday.
