My 2002 SE emits a soft beep about every 5 minutes. This is with key in or out. started about a week ago, no warning lights are lit or blink when it does it. Just a low volume beep. Driving me nuts. Any ideas?

 

That happened to me one time. Shortly after my battery went dead.

 

Try and disconnect the negative cable from the battery to reset the ECU. Than put back on and start the car and listen for the beep. Should disappear

 

Tried disconnecting battery twice yesterday, once for 5 minutes, the second for 2 hours still beeps. I'll try to get battery tested (5years old) even though the car starts fine. thanks for input.

 

My battery was 4 years old when it died on me, so yea try to get it tested ASAP.
