Gas and a road map, you don't want to get lost and have and empty gas tank.

I'd change the oil and maybe clean the TB. Also make sure all of your fluids are topped off. This includes the washer fluid. It would suck to get caught in some nasty weather without it.

If you maintain your car properly any road trip should turn out fine. Just monitor your gauges, listen for any unusual sounds while driving and check your oil every second fill up and you should be fine. I just bought my car and had to drive it 1300 miles from DC to Kansas a few weeks ago and had no problems at all.

on the this. As long as the vehicle is properly maintained nothing should have to be done to it.

Even though you have new tires, make sure that the tire pressure is adjusted to the load thats going to be in your car!!!!Blowing a tire sucks! especially if you're a time freak like me.

Meriden, CT to Raleigh, NC in 7.5 hours...Family record lol

Check the vital stuff. Antifreeze.. is it full? Power steering fluid... is it full? Is your belt good. Dont want to lose that on a long deserted road. Tire air pressure. good valve stems or kinda junky? Plus what everyone else said and you should be to go.

Lol...Nah the E-Z Pass itself knocks off about 1/2 hour...but typically im runnin 80 through Jersey TPKE all the way through to the Maryland House Rest Stop, gas up there, then run 80 straight through VA...jump up to 85 once in NC...Gotta love those 70MPH Speed limits lol. And the cops are madd cool too.

But yea, check your main Serpentine. DEFINITELY do not want that snappin on ya!

Have a safe trip man

Awesome! Like everyone else has said, as long as you maintain your car, you should have no fear of driving it 1000 miles roundtrip on a moment's notice. I ended up driving my car from Cookeville, TN to Columbus, OH (1k round trip) a few weeks ago on literally no notice... Not a single complaint form the almighty Max!
