CRBWS6 I did that little test 50-80 mph on a perfect flat road, and I ended up at 5.8 seconds. I tried it only once, maybe I can get a little better time, but seems like I got it perfect from the first time.

I noticed that everyone seems to keep the ugly MAF wire connector where you can see it. I rotated mine 180 degrees so it is hidden. So my stupid question is, does it matter except for looks?

I thought about that for a bit when I was installing my custom set-up and came to the conclusion it was that way to keep potential moisture out of the sensor unit itself. I have no clue if this is a correct statement, but I'd rather see the connector/wires then have to replace it due to moisture messing with the sensor.

Whenever I clock my MAF differently (as little as 15*) it affects AFR quite some.

unfortunately I dont have anything to read afr. I'll look into seeing if there is something I can do with autoenginuity software.

BTY I put the larger diameter 3" x 7" long berk style intake, identical to the one I made for you along with the accordian piece. Seems to have made a difference. Feels like more torque. When I get the greddy blue installed and get on the dyno I will try to base run twice with the different tubes to see what happens.

AE only gives raw o2 sensor V. And that is as usable as a meatless hamburger.

What an easy install this was. The hardest part was getting the 2" adaptor onto the Apexi adapter. That is like getting 10 pounds of **** into a 5 pound bag. It sounds awesome at WOT and I really hear no difference at normal throttle. Butt dyno...not sure whether there is a difference or it seems faster because it sounds so cool. First mod I have done, waiting for my SFC's to get here, probably Friday or Monday. Mods are like tattoos I imagine, can't just get one.

i was surprised at how easy the install was myself....the hardest part for me was getting the rubber around the damn MAF, i had to microwave the ruber it to soften it up

After experimenting with various intakes. The butt dyno (and dyno's a posts) told me stick with stock accordian and resonator with just a MAF adaptor and filter.

So are sooners, I'm sure it's just kneejerk common dealership reaction. Common "we dont' know is wrong with your car so we will replace everything related until it works again"

Nope saw 35DE and 30DE dyno's. It just feels more responsive. When I dyno I'll pull 2 runs with and without the accordian and resonator.

Different IM design. A member of the 4th gen forum has done this for the VQ30, and I have done this for the VQ35. Be nice to see how the DEK responds to it.

nice...i was really just doing the test for a before/after comparo since there are so many uncontrolled variables (driver reading the speedo, timer error, etc.). i might check it again now that the ecu has re-learned...only problem is that it is over 100 deg here now and my car will be the slowness

Which setup would give the best low end response? I think I read a long time ago that stock setup is optimal?

I have an auto so I'm skeptical that it might be robbed by going with a CAI.

This mod also helps low end tremendously.
