Silver G2 Caliper Paint ۞PICS۞
Silver G2 Caliper Paint ۞PICS۞
Like noone has ever seen this before but....
To follow up here from my new rotor and pad thread.
Finally got around to doing it. Was going to pull the calipers off and sand them down and all that mess, had the hardware forever. Instead, got some G2 paint. Still a PIA, took forever.
For some reason my front rotors rust like mad, even though they are new.
Here are some before and after.
Of course, more pics on the Homepage.

Left caliper on. Basically only taped off the rubber grommets that holds on the outer bar and used a steady hand. You can see the tape in the pic.
Thats pretty impressive that you didnt tape off everything else. I taped literally half of my car. But I guess since it is silver it wont make as big of a difference as the
blue that i used if you got a lil paint on something else.

Is that stuff spray-on or brush-on?
BTW- Painters trick, Use Reynolds Aluminum foil wrap to cover / protect hard to tape spots that you do not want overspray on. Very bendable.

Same thing I did when I installed new rotors to keep the rust level down. Looks good Eric

Epacy when did you get H-techs? I though you were dropped on Eibachs! Well anyway's good job on painting the calipers! I did mine the same color around 3K miles ago!
What new rotors did you go with anyway? Rusty...
Are those rotors OEM ones or what? They're designed completely different, no cooling spots or anything, just one whole peice!

And epacy, next time try buying some zinc plated rotors. A full year now with my setup and no rust

Mine in black.
i picked up a duplicolor valiper paint kit i find it coats alot heavier than the g2 paint also it dries nice n hard, i used the g3 before and after 3 coats i still seem the sandy finish of the caliper with the dupli-color stuff it coats pretty heavy.. this time ill be doing mine silver and prolly gonna take off the whole caliper one by one and paint them...

Calipers still look as good as new.
epacy, those calipers look good.. i was thinking about doing mine the same color and painting the rotor hub black to get rid of the rust look.. and yeah i feel you on that rust issue by the way.. mine started to rust after the first rain we got.. i was so upset.. i started a thread on here trying to find some product that u could use pesides paint to prevent rust, but no luck.. im gonna have to paint mine.. i like those rims too
