Stillen Hi-Flow, Berk, Injen?? Which intake would you get right now
I am more confused than ever after reading 500 posts about intakes. I cannot get ahold of Berk, Frankencar is out of business, so I was looking at the Stillen Hi Flow Intake as an option or the Injen or JWT Popcharger.
My goal is to have no loss of low end and no overbearing noise while increasing some performance and not cutting a hole in my fender.
I like the looks of the Berk but have not seen any of the Stillen. I have seen a few custom setups which look cool, but I cannot fabricate so I would need to buy what I want.
The only sure thing is I know I want a dry filter setup, I don't want a hole in my fender and I don't want to lose low end performance.
My air scoop was missing when I bought this car so I thought a custom intake was on it before but I cannot find out for sure.
At this point I am so confused I may just never think about this subject again for fear I may get too dizzy.
I feel like saying someone tell me what I want but that is stupid. There are some people on here whose opinion you respect based on their posts and I would love some recommendations from them. dmpesso need not reply

Bufflomike, I saw that car on ebay for the longest. Donohoo auto in Alabama, right? What did you finally get it for? I kept telling that yo-yo owner he was asking way too much for that car.
I would say Injen, if you don't mind minor fabrication, but since the end tube of the Injen allows water to leak in, you would need to tuck it into the bumper, little cutting. Injen gives you the pull at low-end, no doubt, and doesn't sound RICE when you rev it up. Berk is popular, but I don't like the sound. I test-drove a 2002 SE 6spd with the Injen, but couldn't get the money to the guy fast enough. I think that's the way I'll go.
Have you checked Fujita CAI?

Berk is not returning calls or answering his phone. I am assuming they are with Frankencar now.

Is there a sound clip of the Berk with everything else stock?

i built my own air intake last weekend and it sounds great. all i used was a 4" piece of 3" tubing, a few couplers, maf adapter and a AEM dryflow filter. works great

this is why Bryan has been busy
Berk Technology Inc. is EXPANDING and we are building a bigger & better online webstore. As always, you can still place your order over the phone or drop by our retail location.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patronage!

Yeah...they are kinda busy now. But I called them once last week and once today and both times they picked up the phone.
I ordered my berk April 18th for my 00 max and I found out last week that the midpipes for the 00-01 is out of stock. They are making more now. They promised me that mine will be shipped out tomorrow.

He had my intake in stock and it was shipped today. The 00-01 midpipe is in progress and he has trouble keeping these in stock.
I have changed my mind and hope to be happy with my decision. Thanks for your help all.

Oh...... I e-mailed him too and he doesn't really respond probably because of the business expansion. Just call him and someone should pick up. Bryan was talking to another customer so I spoke to a nice lady by the name of Lauren (I think) and she was very nice and helpful.

But, it(price) depends on the filter. 60 - 170 IIRC

Well, I googled the name and got the website, but it's just the statment above about them expanding. I wasn't going to try to call them, considering all the other posts about people not being able to contact them for weeks.

I have an Injen CAI and I really like it, and it actually goes down under the motor to further more increase air flow, although it is really loud, but so is every other intake, and I really like the way that it looks too, I vote for the Injen!

an injen is not a CAI
