VIS hood owners, step in...

Question: Owners of the VIS OEM CF hood...

1. Does your hood somewhat sag in the middle and/or have slight bumps?

2. How much vibration do you get when you are going about 60-80 mph?

my hood has little waves in it, but noone else but me seems to notice, and soemhow i have a small dent in the front right, didn't know u could dent cf liek that. no saging tho, and it does flutter much more than the stock hood, altho not to the point where it worries me.

and mine has cracked right near the latch up front, nothing big, but since ive only had the hood a few months im not too happy with it.

I have some "waves" but nothing really bad. No vibrations at higher speeds and I do not use hoodpins, just the standard latch. Going on 3 years of ownership on it.

My only complaint is how clouded the resin has become....Though from the beginning I have planned to paint it, just haven't gotten to it, so I guess that isn't such a big deal.

I have the flutter in the middle of the hood, and the sides kind of arch up above the fender, I imagine because of the air passing below. Does anyone have any more insight on this? I am sticking to the stock latch, but I wanna make sure it will be safe.

I took my stock latch off and zip tied it behind the grille.

The hood pins are all that are holding the darn thing on. It does not vibrate or anything. It's pretty darn solid!

Maxboost: Did your hood pins have to go through the underlying frame in the hood? And your hood doesn't flutter in the middle at all?

Nope. Doesn't flutter. Me and Steven88 fitted the pins so perfectly that the hood sits flush and doesn't move around.

btw, it was Steven88 that drilled it. I couldn't bear to do it myself.

I don't have any flutter at all. The edges haven't bowed either. Did you remove the cross-bracing under the hood maybe?

If you mean the main frame under the hood, then no I did not remove it. I'll try to get some pictures or a video of what I mean and how my hood looks.
