Where is everyone buying their WAI intakes nowadays?

A friend of mine is going to buy a 5.5 gen and wants an intake after hearing my car. I've heard Berk is taking a while to deliver? And their website is down at the moment as well. Frankencar is no longer making anything, Injen he doesn't want, nor GAB, and Place Racing is no longer available either.

So where is everyone buying their Berk/Frankencar style WAIs now? Or is no one buying them?

I just got mine from Berk and it was in stock and shipped Wednesday. A little while to reach them, but just keep calling. They are busy but once I got ahold of them they were very helpful.

I wonder if there would be any buyers if I became a sponsor and sold Frankencar/Berk style WAIs for a few $s less.

i got one for sale in the classifieds, custom made from a solid piece of aluminum, 72.05 mm inside diameter. Same as the 3.5 TB. you'll need a maf adapter and a filter for it

Berk Technology still makes them...

Speaking of Berk, they were featured in Modified Mag a couple months ago.

Weapon-R sells WAI for our cars. I have one although I can't really recommend their sh!tty foam filter that they send with it. I ended up with a AEM dryflow. The price altogether is probably more than the Berk though. For sure since I added a Injen prefilter.

Go with Berk. It only took a little longer because it was out of stock for the 00-01. Mine shipped out yesterday and they told me they just made more of the midpipes. So the intakes will probably be available again for the 00-01. I don't think you will have a problem with the 5.5 gens.

If you have the ingenuity and time, custom build it. I used the OEM accordion coupler connected to a modified OEM MAF housing for my mid-pipe to a Autozone coupler, to the MAF, to a eBay filter adapter and Autozone Sceptre cone filter.

Total cost was around $35-$40

hell ya man. painted the pipe. looks great black. i had a filter laying around so that was good. recharged it and BAM.

alot more power then stock setup. low end, mid range, and up top. i had a injen cai on it and it felt slower then the stock intake system but i dont want to talk about that haha.
