That's because you're not a 4th gen cat like us, and equal length y's are a wench to come by, unless you kept a Stillen 1st gen like I did

I hate to sound rude, but I also hate sound coming from what is sold as a luxary car. Keep it quiet, seriosly. I hear kids (I'm 25, I mean 15, 16) going up and down the street all day with aftermarket ext on 4 and 6 cyl cars, and I think to myself "just go home and play a video game, quit annoying everyone"... Now on a 91 chevy 1500 with a 5.7 L 350, then yeah, throw some sound on it, but on a 2000 luxary car ? Please...

Again not tring to sound rude, but it just seems really silly. Then again, I think any kind of spoiler, and anything other than a solid color looks silly. I'm just one of those, lower it a bit, put some nice rims on it - you know, give your car some class, without going overboard.

All this "tunner" stuff is really getting to me. I'd go back to a chevy if I didn't like Maxima's so much.

I'm not flamming or putting anyone, or anything down, do what you want! But, hey, we all have the right to our own opinion

stock look and sound FTW.

people are always surprised when i tell them how heavily modded i am because it looks stock. and sounds stock when cruising.
all exterior mods are subtle and non maxima people cant tell.

If you don't like the sound at the AT shift points, then shift manually (there is no law that says you have to put it in "D"). You can also turn off the OD so it doesn't shift into 4th @ at an insanely slow speed. You gas milage may suffer a bit, but you can control your exhaust note + can use the revs as an engine brake. Just a thought.

Why is this the riciest question? It's a question about an exhaust note not for you to up your posts.

Thanks again guys

I've been a member since 03 and I have 51 posts, I'm doing a terrible job of upping my posts. Sorry to offend but loud obnoxious exhaust notes are really annoying. To waste gas and put additional wear on your car to have a "good" exhaust note is being a ricer. To each their own, just my opinion.

I have the full Cattman exhaust including the Fast Cat. I really like the sound and get many compliments. The sound is not ricey at all.

Also I have always enjoyed personalizing my cars and I do not consider that being "ricey", I consider that being an enthusiast.

obnoxiously loud i would have to agree with but a "good exhaust note" isnt always loud.

I have a y/b pipe and a Magnaflow exhaust on my 2k auto and I'm putting back my stock muffler. The sound is great and all (epecially at WOT, in a tunnel) but it just doesn't suit the car. I also became a instant cop magnet.
