Tokico Advanced Handling Kit...

anyone had either of these?

HP-Blues ADV handling Kit:
http://www.importrp.com/product.php?...6&cat=0&page=1

Illuminas ADV handling Kit:
http://www.importrp.com/product.php?...6&cat=0&page=1

How do these kits ride? how low does the drop go? reliability? handling?

I haven't seen anyone wearing this kit on the org so I thought I would ask. I'm thinking it'll save me some shopping time and no worries from matching things up. Thanks guys!

Dude you have not done any type of research at all. First off those are the same struts as most of the org'ers use. Also you can find those struts mucher cheapers in other places. Please do some research before yous start a thread asking about a strut that is so commonly used.

The Law, I totally agree with you. Everyone does have those struts, but apparently for that price the combo comes with lowering springs. Seems like a good price.

argh. . . I know that like 70% of the org wears Tokicos, and I know that they make our OEM shocks, and I know that the Illuminas are adjustables. Please stay on topic and give comments about the entire package if you have some. Thank you.

You can be the ginue(sp) pig for those springs if you like. But they dont' give any specs on how low the springs go or the spring rate of them. So if you like try it but I'd rather play it safe and get springs that have been reviewed.

no reviews for a maxima, but it might help. I've never seen a max with these springs before though...

heh, I seriously doubt that. I mean, I think at worst they're too harsh, and it just means i would have to resell them.

I purchased a set of OEM rotors from that place before. They seem knowledgeable and trustworthy.

From what I understand, these springs are the off-the-shelf Tokico springs. The drop and quality of these particular kits would be the same to that of the Tokico springs for the Maxima.

I had the tokico Illumina Advanced Handling kit on my prelude and hey were VERY nicely matched. I WOULD NOT HESITATE to get them. DEF try them out. Worst case scenario you could get some htech's later.

ouch. . . I trust TheLaw's opinion and experience on things. I'm partially to blame for not explaining up front what aspect i was trying to get info on. It's easier to assume "n00b question" than "the obvious aspect is not the implied subject" I'm guessing I'll be quite happy, but first and foremost, I haven't heard nor seen a 5th genner rocking this kit. . .So I might actually be first at something. . .which imo could be really cool. If you read my previous post you'll understand that I've already ordered them and are eager for them to arrive.

Umm... does putting lowering springs on your car knock the camber out for good and ruin tires a lot faster?

you can get a camber kit for pretty cheap, which Is what I'm gonna do after my aluminum flywheel and Z clutch get here; before I get my H&R's

actually, It really depends on how low you go. Tokico won't warrant their shocks with more than a 1.75" drop and I think that's where a camber issue would come into play.

as for an update, I found out through Jeff at IRP that the springs for this kit are made in Indonesia and were out of stock, so I would have had a 6 week wait. I have personally decided that I do not like Pacific Rim 3rd party mfg, and switched my pick to Eibachs. cheers!
